WASHINGTON — Joint Staff Spokesperson Col. Dave Butler provided the following readout:
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark A. Milley spoke with Swedish Supreme Commander Gen. Micael Bydén today by phone.
The two military leaders discussed Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine and the security environment in eastern Europe.
The U.S. and Sweden share a strong defense relationship, and Sweden is a critical partner in regional stability.
