JKO recently held a stakeholder engagement meeting to connect with our partners in the combatant commands and services. The two-hour virtual event provided a top-down review of JKO’s offerings, including VCLASS, our virtual classroom environment. Michael Barnum, division chief, Joint Enabling and Learning Division, Tim Brandon, JKO branch chief, and John Seegrist, JKO knowledge services lead, provided the briefings and facilitated the interactive discussion.
A focus of the conversation was the requirements process and how JKO can better meet the needs of our stakeholders. JKO is currently working through the development of a streamlined request for support process and planning on opening new capabilities for the content development process. These changes will allow JKO more flexibility and responsiveness, increasing the level of support for our stakeholders training requirements.
Additionally, the discussion lead into the future of JKO and how the program is adapting to the changes in training needs. Developments in AI, adaptive learning, and cloud-based content are currently in use in JKO products and services.
The meeting ended with a question-and-answer period and a reminder that an official TMT tasker for requirements will be sent to our combatant commands and services partners soon.
