Timely Reminder: Maintain Vigilance Against Cyberattack

Members of the Department of Defense, whether active military, civilian or contractor, share a sworn duty to protect sensitive information.  It is essential to protecting our missions, and the lives of service members, DOD employees, contractors, and their families.   Disclosure of sensitive information can carry tremendous ramifications.

Cyber Security is always a relevant and important topic, but it is even more crucial in the current moment. "As FBI and DHS officials warn that missile strikes in Iran heightened domestic threat levels, urging vigilance against cyberattacks and antisemitic violence as the FBI moved to an "enhanced" posture," ABC News wrote. Remaining vigilant against the increased risk of cyberattacks is paramount for all government, services, civilians, and defense program partners.

Now is a good time to refresh your understanding of the social engineering scams and cyber hygiene best practices to protect against falling victim.
