The Joint Knowledge Online (JKO) Exercise Support Team announced the launch of the new Joint Exercise Training Support (JETS) site, now available on JKO SIPRNET. This resource is designed to support the joint exercise community.
Planners and Controllers
The site, known as JETS, provides Joint Staff and combatant command exercise planners and controllers with a framework for managing the Joint Event Lifecycle (JELC). From the initial conception of a training event to its execution and evaluation, JETS offers a repository of resources. This includes background documents, strategic overviews, Joint Staff how-to guides, manuals, and handbooks needed to build and manage joint exercises.
Participants and Newcomers
For service members new to the joint environment, JETS offers foundational online courses. These courses explain the key differences between the military services and the joint community, providing training on specific activities such as developing a battle rhythm, joint planning, command and control, and joint fires. JETS hosts individual combatant command and Joint Staff sites that provide overviews of current joint exercises.
Discover the Value
JETS centralizes critical resources and training materials, providing joint context and equipping personnel with the knowledge to excel in their duties. Users can find information regarding joint exercises in their area of operation and enhance their understanding of the joint environment.
How to Access JETS
The JETS site is available on SIPRNET at https://jkolms.jten.smil.mil/.
After logging in, select the "Exercises" tab. All users must use a SIPR token card for network and site access.
