Press Statement: CJCS arrives in Beijing

BEIJING, China —

Gen. Joseph F. Dunford, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, arrived in Beijing, China, the evening of August 14. This is the first visit by Dunford to China as the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He will be hosted by Gen. Fang Fenghui, Chief of the Joint Staff Department. The visit underscores U.S. interest in further developing military-to-military relationships between the U.S. and China.
