WASHINGTON, D.C. — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Dan Caine spoke with the Chief of Defense of the Netherlands Gen. Onno Eichelsheim yesterday by phone.
Gen. Caine and Gen. Eichelsheim discussed U.S.-Netherlands shared priorities and reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining open lines of communication and cooperating in areas of mutual interest.
The United States values its close relationship with the Netherlands. As a founding member of NATO and a steadfast U.S. ally, the Netherlands plays a vital role in strengthening collective defense and advancing shared security objectives around the globe.
