This week, on February 2, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Dan Caine spoke with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. The two leaders discussed the security environment in Europe, including Russia’s war in Ukraine and the importance of Arctic security for NATO Allies.
Gen. Caine also met with the Chiefs of Defense of Qatar and Lebanon, February 2 and 3, respectively, reaffirming the importance of the United States’ enduring defense relationships in the Middle East.
Today, Gen. Caine met with the Ambassador of New Zealand to the United States, Chris Seed, and discussed the value of close cooperation with key partners and shared perspectives on the Indo-Pacific security environment.
The United States continues to work closely with Allies and partners to advance shared security interests and promote stability across key regions.
