Over 11,000 DoD Personnel Aid Puerto Rico Hurricane Relief Efforts

WASHINGTON — Puerto Rico's governor said more than 11,000 Defense Department personnel now are in Puerto Rico, helping the U.S. territory recover from the wrath of Hurricane Maria in the areas of logistics, medical support and aviation.

DoD Officials Provide Update on Hurricane Relief Efforts

WASHINGTON — A Defense Department spokesman said that in Puerto Rico, enhanced communications and completed assessments are providing a clearer picture of the extent of the storm damage and the magnitude of the response challenge.
