Joint Staff Approves Humanitarian Service Medal for Hurricane Response

WASHINGTON — The Joint Staff approved the Humanitarian Service Medal for qualified members in any branch of the armed services who served in disaster relief efforts for hurricanes Harvey, Irma or Maria.

DoD Provides Update on Hurricane Irma Response Efforts

WASHINGTON — Naval, air and ground assets from the Defense Department are ready to initiate response operations in Florida and will continue Hurricane Irma response operations throughout the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico region, a DoD spokesman said.
