WASHINGTON--Joint Staff Spokesperson Col. Patrick S. Ryder provided the following readout:
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Joseph F. Dunford, Jr. met with Chief of the Israeli General Staff Lt. Gen. Gadi Eisenkot today in Washington D.C.
The two leaders continued their ongoing conversation on several issues of mutual concern. Gen. Dunford affirmed the U.S. commitment to its relationship with Israel.
The U.S. and Israel enjoy a strong military-to-military relationship as key partners committed to peace and security in the Middle East region.
