WASHINGTON--Joint Staff Spokesperson Col. Patrick S. Ryder provided the following readout:
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Joseph F. Dunford, Jr. met with Singapore Chief of Defense Force Lt. Gen. Melvyn Ong Oct. 16 in Washington D.C.
The two leaders discussed ways to strengthen the relationship that will continue to advance a free and open Indo-Pacific, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
The U.S. and Singapore share a longstanding, robust and mutually beneficial military-to-military relationship and work closely in combating terrorism around the globe.
