WASHINGTON--Joint Staff Spokesperson Col. Patrick S. Ryder provided the following readout:                               

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Joseph F. Dunford, Jr. met with Pakistan Chief of Defense Gen. Zubair Mahmood Hayat Jan. 15 in Brussels, Belgium. 

The senior leaders discussed the current security environment in South Asia. 

Gen. Dunford was in Brussels to participate in the NATO Military Committee in Chiefs of Defense Session, held Jan. 15-16 at NATO Headquarters.
