WASHINGTON--Joint Staff Spokesperson Col. DeDe S. Halfhill provided the following readout: Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark A. Milley met with United Kingdom's Chief of Defence Staff Gen. Sir Nicholas Carter today in Brussels, Belgium.
The two military leaders discussed the current security environment throughout the Middle East as well as the latest developments in the global security environment and
ongoing counterterrorism efforts.
The United Kingdom and United States share a long history of mutual support and cooperation, which are cornerstones of the strong alliance and special relationship
between the two nations.
Gen. Milley was in Brussels to participate in the NATO Military Committee in Chiefs of Defence Session, held Jan. 14-15 at NATO Headquarters.
