WASHINGTON--Joint Staff Spokesperson Col. DeDe S. Halfhill provided the following readout:
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark A. Milley spoke with Chairman of the Republic of Korea Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Park Han-ki today by phone.
Gen. Milley thanked Gen. Park for his support over the past year and reaffirmed his commitment to the U.S.-ROK Alliance. The two leaders committed to continuing cooperation as allies and to maintaining close coordination.
The United States - Republic of Korea alliance is a lynchpin of stability and security in the Indo-Pacific region.
