WASHINGTON — Joint Staff Spokesperson Col. Dave Butler provided the following readout:
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark A. Milley met with Albania's Chief of the General Staff Maj. Gen. Bajram Begaj today at the Pentagon.
The two leaders discussed items of mutual concern, including Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine and the responses of the United States and Albania.
This is Maj. Gen. Bajram Begaj’s first visit to the Pentagon. Albania is a close NATO ally, leader for global security and stability, and shares a long-standing and vital partnership with the United States. The two countries will celebrate 100 years of partnership this July.
