WASHINGTON, D.C. — Joint Staff Spokesperson Navy Capt. Jereal Dorsey provided the following readout:
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Dan Caine met with Polish Chief of the General Staff Gen. Wieslaw Kukula on Wednesday, May 14th, 2025.
Gen. Caine thanked Gen. Kukula for Poland's contributions to the recovery effort for four missing U.S. Soldiers in Lithuania in March 2025.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed the security situation in Eastern Europe, the ongoing transformation of Poland’s Armed Forces and opportunities for bilateral cooperation.
The U.S. and Poland reaffirmed their strong defense partnership and emphasized shared commitment to regional security. Both nations remain vigilant in deterring aggression along NATO’s eastern flank.
