Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Dan Caine spoke with Chairman of the Republic of Korea (ROK) Joint Chiefs of Staff Adm. Kim Myung-soo on Tuesday, May 20th, 2025.
During the call, Gen. Caine and Adm. Kim discussed shared priorities to maintain and strengthen the U.S. – ROK Alliance and affirmed their commitment to promoting peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and across the Indo-Pacific region.
The U.S.-ROK Alliance remains the linchpin of peace, security, and stability on the Korean Peninsula and across the Indo-Pacific region.
