WASHINGTON, D.C. — Joint Staff Spokesperson Navy Capt. Jereal Dorsey provided the following readout:
Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Adm. Christopher Grady met with French Vice Chief of Defence Gen. Vincent Giraud to discuss defense cooperation, NATO priorities, and regional security challenges on Thursday, June 5th, 2025, in Toulouse, France.
The leaders reaffirmed the strong U.S.-French partnership, emphasizing the importance of operational interoperability, strategic coordination, and joint readiness in addressing evolving security threats. Additionally, they discussed France’s leadership in NATO, globally, and ongoing collaboration on European security efforts.
Adm. Grady commended France’s commitment to global stability and underscored the importance of deepening defense cooperation to uphold security across the Euro-Atlantic region.
Both leaders emphasized continued bilateral coordination and multilateral engagement to strengthen collective security and address shared challenges.
