WASHINGTON, D.C. — Joint Staff Spokesperson Mr. Joseph Holstead provided the following readout:
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Dan Caine met with Vice Adm. Aaron Beng, Chief of Defense Force of Singapore, at the Pentagon on Sept. 16, 2025, to reaffirm the United States’ commitment to a strong and enduring defense partnership.
The leaders discussed deepening cooperation in the Indo-Pacific, including enhancing interoperability, joint readiness, and coordinated efforts to address regional security challenges. They also discussed Singaporean acquisitions, such as the P-8A, that will deepen interoperability between the two countries.
This partnership remains a cornerstone of regional stability and is critical for advancing shared security interests across the Indo-Pacific.
