Doha, Qatar — Joint Staff Spokesperson Mr. Joseph Holstead provided the following readout:
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Dan Caine visited with Qatari leadership during a visit to Qatar on September 22, 2025.
During Gen. Caine’s meeting with Qatar’s Minister of State for Defense Affairs His Excellency Sheikh Saoud Al Thani and Chief of Staff of the Qatar Armed Forces Lt. Gen. Jassim Al Mannai, the leaders reaffirmed the strategic partnership between the United States and Qatar. They also discussed the continued need for military integration to collectively face complex regional challenges. Gen. Caine emphasized the critical importance of Qatar’s defense in support of regional security and stability.
Qatar has provided decades of invaluable contributions to U.S.-led efforts in the CENTCOM area of responsibility and is a pivotal non-NATO ally.
