WASHINGTON--Joint Staff Spokesperson Col. Patrick S. Ryder provided the following readout:
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Joseph F. Dunford, Jr. met with Netherlands Chief of Defense Adm. Rob Bauer today in the Netherlands.
Gen. Dunford thanked Adm. Bauer for the Netherlands' contributions to NATO and other crucial missions worldwide, to include Operation Resolute Support in Afghanistan and Operation Inherent Resolve in Iraq where Dutch troops are a valued part of the Train, Advise and Assist missions there. The two military leaders also discussed shared security concerns faced in Europe and ways to increase coordination in areas of mutual interest.
The Netherlands is a key NATO ally and shares a strong partnership with the U.S. around the globe.
