WASHINGTON, D.C. — Joint Staff Spokesperson Navy Capt. Jereal Dorsey provided the following readout:
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. CQ Brown, Jr., spoke with Chief of the Israeli General Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi today by phone.
The two leaders discussed the current security situation in the Middle East, including Israel’s ongoing operations in Gaza and regional atmospherics.
The United States is actively striving to mitigate tensions across the Middle East region and foster enduring security and stability, in close collaboration with its international allies and partners.
