WASHINGTON, D.C. — Joint Staff Spokesperson Navy Capt. Jereal Dorsey provided the following readout:
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. CQ Brown, Jr., spoke with United Kingdom Chief of the Defence Staff Adm. Sir Tony Radakin by phone on June 26.
Gen. Brown and Adm. Radakin discussed the security situation in Europe and the Middle East. The leaders reaffirmed the U.S. and UK’s unwavering commitment to Ukraine amid Russia’s unprovoked and illegal aggression. The leaders also discussed efforts to de-escalate tensions and deter conflict in the Middle East region.
The United States and United Kingdom are strong military partners and coordinate closely to promote security and stability worldwide.
