WASHINGTON, D.C. — Joint Staff Spokesperson Navy Capt. Jereal Dorsey provided the following readout:
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. CQ Brown, Jr., spoke with Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Gen. Oleksandr Syrskyi by phone on July 2.
Gen. Brown and Gen. Syrskyi discussed the latest battlefield assessments amid Russia’s unprovoked and ongoing invasion of Ukraine.
The United States remains committed to working with Allies and partners to identify and provide Ukraine with additional defense and security capabilities to defend its sovereignty.
