WASHINGTON--Joint Staff Spokesperson Col. Patrick S. Ryder provided the following readout:
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Joseph F. Dunford, Jr. spoke with Croatian Chief of Defense Gen. Mirko Sundov Feb. 4.
Gen. Dunford thanked Gen. Sundov for Croatia’s leadership in Southeast Europe and their support to the Resolute Support Mission. The two leaders also discussed mutual items of interest, to include both bilateral and NATO-related activities, and the security environment in the region and Afghanistan.
Croatia is a vital NATO ally and the United States and Croatia enjoy a strong and strategic relationship.
