Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Dan Caine met with New Zealand Chief of Defence Force Air Marshal Tony Davies on Aug. 31 during the Indo-Pacific Chiefs of Defense Conference in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. The leaders discussed the regional security environment and efforts to strengthen readiness, interoperability, and military capability, while reaffirming the importance of the U.S.–New Zealand defense partnership and practical cooperation with Australia and Pacific partners.
