Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Dan Caine met with India Chief of Defence Staff Gen. N.S. Raja Subramani on Aug. 31 during the Indo-Pacific Chiefs of Defense Conference in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, and congratulated him on assuming his new role. The leaders reaffirmed the durability of the U.S.–India Major Defense Partnership and discussed continued efforts to expand operational coordination, information sharing, and defense industrial, science, and technology cooperation in support of shared security interests.
