CJCS visits USSPACECOM, Space Operations Command

SCHRIEVER AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. — U.S. Army Gen. Mark Milley, the 20th chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, met with U.S. Space Command and Space Operations Command leaders March 1, 2021, at Schriever Air Force Base, Colorado, to discuss each organization's mission.

Release: Department of Defense Establishes U.S. Space Command

At the direction of the President of the United States, Secretary of Defense Mark T. Esper established U.S. Space Command (USSPACECOM) today (Aug. 29, 2019) as the eleventh Unified Combatant Command. Gen. John W. Raymond is its Senate confirmed commander.
