Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman hosts final day of fall Defense Senior Enlisted Leader Council

Senior Enlisted Leaders from all U.S. military branches gathered at Joint Base Andrews for the two-day Defense Senior Enlisted Leader Council (DSELC) on Sept. 24, 2024, to discuss key strategies impacting the Joint Force and military families. Led by Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. Troy E. Black, discussions focused on readiness, modernization, and improving quality of life. Prominent leaders, including Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy James Honea, Sgt. Maj. of the Army Michael Weimer, Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force David Flosi, and Chief Master Sgt. of the Space Force John Bentivegna provided updates on force development and operational strategies. The conference highlighted joint integration, global security, and the vital role of family support, culminating in remarks by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, U.S. Air Force Gen. CQ Brown, Jr., who emphasized the strategic value of enlisted service members in winning future conflicts.

Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman hosts fall Defense Senior Enlisted Leader Council

Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman (SEAC) U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. Troy E. Black hosted the Service Senior Enlisted Advisors, Combatant Command Command Senior Enlisted Leaders, fourth estate Senior Enlisted Leaders, and their spouses at the first day of the fall Defense Senior Enlisted Leader Council (DSELC) at the General Jacob E. Smart Conference Center, Joint Base Andrews, Md., Sept. 23, 2024. The primary objective of the DSELC is to solve problems and provide recommendations related to the development and management of the enlisted members of the Joint Force and advancing the Secretary of Defense’s Taking Care of Our People initiative.
