Shanahan Approves Force Protection Deployment for Middle East

Acting Defense Secretary Patrick M. Shanahan has approved the deployment of about 1,500 service members and additional capabilities to the Middle East to deter Iranian efforts to destabilize the region.

Dunford Accepts Eisenhower Award, Calls for Industry, DOD Cooperation

WASHINGTON — The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff accepted the Eisenhower Award from the National Defense Industrial Association on behalf of all service members and called on the organization to encourage members to cooperate with the Defense Department to ensure service members never fight in a fair fight.

Bold Quest 19.1 Coalition Demonstration commences in Finland

Participating units are deployed for Bold Quest 19.1, the latest in a series of Coalition Capability Demonstration and Assessment events sponsored by the Joint Staff and hosted this year by Finland, only the third time the series is being held outside the United States.
