WASHINGTON--Joint Staff Spokesperson Col. Patrick S. Ryder provided the following readout:
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Joseph F. Dunford, Jr. met with United Kingdom Chief of Defence Staff Gen. Sir Nicholas Carter today in Washington D.C.
The two leaders discussed ongoing global counterterrorism efforts and other issues of mutual interest.
The United States and the United Kingdom share a long history of mutual support and cooperation, which are cornerstones of the strong alliance and special relationship between the two nations.
