WASHINGTON--Joint Staff Spokesperson Col. Patrick S. Ryder provided the following readout:
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Joseph F. Dunford, Jr. spoke today with Chief of the Israeli General Staff Lt. Gen. Aviv Kohavi.
Gen. Dunford congratulated Lt. Gen. Kohavi on his new position. The two leaders discussed several issues of mutual concern. Gen. Dunford reaffirmed the U.S. commitment to its relationship with Israel.
The U.S. and Israel enjoy a strong military-to-military relationship as key partners committed to peace and security in the Middle East region.
