LONDON – U.S. Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. John E. Hyten met with Adm. Timothy Peter Fraser, vice chief of the United Kingdom Defence Staff, at the Ministry of Armed Forces on Feb. 4 in London.
The two leaders signed a statement of principles to guide cooperation to counter shared security challenges around the world. They discussed the current European and global security environment, explored ways to increase interoperability, and recommitted to work together closely in aligning the two countries’ future joint force design and capability development.
The United Kingdom and United States share a long history of mutual support and cooperation, which are cornerstones of the strong alliance and special relationship between the two nations.
