WASHINGTON — Joint Staff Spokesperson Col. DeDe S. Halfhill provided the following readout:
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark A. Milley spoke today with Chief of Staff, Japan Joint Staff Gen. Koji Yamazaki by telephone.
The two senior leaders reaffirmed their commitment to continuing close military cooperation.
The longstanding alliance between the United States and Japan remains the cornerstone of peace and security in the Indo-Pacific region.
