WASHINGTON — Joint Staff Spokesperson Col. DeDe S. Halfhill provided the following readout:
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark A. Milley spoke with Canadian Armed Forces Chief of Defence Gen. Jonathan Vance today by telephone.
The two leaders discussed areas of mutual concern including global operations and the impacts of COVID-19. They also discussed Gen. Vance's upcoming announced retirement.
The U.S.-Canada bilateral defense relationship is one of the world's strongest and both leaders remain committed to continuing cooperation and addressing the challenges facing our regional and global partners.
