WASHINGTON--Joint Staff Spokesperson Col. Dave Butler provided the following readout:
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark A. Milley spoke with Swedish Supreme Commander Gen. Micael Bydén today by telephone.
The two military leaders discussed shared security concerns and ways to increase cooperation in areas of mutual interest, such as joint training and studies.
The U.S. and Sweden share a strong defense relationship and Sweden is a critical partner.
