ATHENS, GREECE — Joint Staff Spokesperson Col. David Butler provided the following readout:
During the Conference of the NATO Military Committee, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark A. Milley met with the Hellenic National Defence General Staff Gen. Konstantinos Floros.
The two leaders discussed mutual items of interest, to include the security environment in the region as well as challenges including hybrid threats, terrorism and extremist violence, energy security, climate and economic crisis, as well as migration and refugee flows.
As NATO allies, the United States and Greece enjoy a long-standing friendship and partnership rooted in shared democratic values and strong cultural ties.
