HELSINKI — Joint Staff Spokesperson Col. David Butler provided the following readout:
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark A. Milley met with Republic of Finland President Sauli Niinistö and Commander of the Finnish Defence Forces General Timo Kivinen today in Helsinki.
The leaders discussed items of mutual security interest and ways to continue to improving military cooperation and collaboration. Their conversation also covered Finland’s continued involvement in the Partnership for Peace program.
The U.S. and Finland continue to share a strong partnership focused on peace and stability around the world.
