WASHINGTON — Joint Staff Spokesperson Col. Dave Butler provided the following readout:

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark A. Milley spoke with Polish Chief of the General Staff Gen. Rajmund Andrzejczak today by phone.

The two leaders discussed items of mutual interest and shared assessments of the current security environment in the region. 

The U.S. and Poland share a strong defense relationship. Poland is a stalwart ally in Central Europe committed to NATO deterrence and cooperative security efforts in Europe and around the world.
