WASHINGTON —Joint Staff Spokesperson Col. Dave Butler provided the following readout:
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark A. Milley spoke with Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Lt. Gen. Valery Zaluzhny today by telephone.
The military leaders continued to exchange perspectives and assessments of the security environment in Eastern Europe. The Chairman once again reaffirmed unwavering support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Ukraine is a key partner to NATO and plays a critical role in maintaining peace and stability in Europe.
