WASHINGTON — Joint Staff Spokesperson Col. Dave Butler provided the following readout:   

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark A. Milley met with Jordanian Chief of Defense Maj. Gen. Yousef Al-Hnaity today at the Pentagon.

The two leaders discussed several issues of mutual concern for the Middle East. Gen. Milley affirmed the U.S. commitment to its strategic security relationship with Jordan in facing regional and global challenges.

The U.S. and Jordan share a strong military-to-military relationship as key partners committed to peace and security in the Middle East region.
