WASHINGTON — Joint Staff Spokesperson Col. Dave Butler provided the following readout:   

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark A. Milley met with Chief of the General Staff of the Slovak Armed Forces Gen. Daniel Zmeko today at the Pentagon.

The two leaders discussed items of mutual security concern, including NATO’s current operations and ongoing coordination during the adjustment of U.S. force posture in Europe.

The Slovak Republic is an important NATO ally and plays a critical role in maintaining peace and security in Europe.
