WASHINGTON — Joint Staff Spokesperson Col. Dave Butler provided the following readout:
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark A. Milley spoke with the Polish Chief of the General Staff Gen. Rajmund Andrzejczak today by phone.
The two leaders discussed Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine, including the recent deployment of U.S. military forces to Poland to deter Russian aggression and assure NATO Allies and partners.
Poland is a leader in NATO defense and deterrence activities in the Baltic Sea region and Eastern Europe. The U.S. and Poland continue to share a strong defense relationship and cooperate on a wide range of programs.
