WASHINGTON — Joint Staff Spokesperson Col. Dave Butler provided the following readout:
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark A. Milley spoke with Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Gen. Valery Zaluzhny today by telephone.
The military leaders discussed Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which is undermining global security. The Chairman once again reaffirmed unwavering support for Ukraine and emphasized that the United States is united with our Allies and partners in our resolve to support Ukraine.
Ukraine is a key partner to NATO and plays a critical role in maintaining peace and stability in Europe.
