WASHINGTON — Joint Staff Spokesperson Lt. Col. Korry Leverett provided the following readout:
Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Christopher W. Grady spoke with Italy's Chief of Defense Staff Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone today by phone.
The military leaders discussed Russia's ongoing invasion of Ukraine and ways to continue improving military cooperation and collaboration in Europe.
Italy is a close NATO ally, leader for global security and stability and shares a long-standing and vital partnership with the United States. Italy plays host to more than 33,000 U.S. military, civilians and their families.
