WASHINGTON — Joint Staff Spokesperson Col. Dave Butler provided the following readout:
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark A. Milley spoke yesterday by phone with Chairman of the Republic of Korea Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Won In Choul.
Gen. Milley thanked Gen. Won for his efforts over the last two years, strengthening the U.S.- Republic of Korea alliance. The two leaders shared their confidence in the strength of the combined defense posture due to the collaborative efforts of both militaries.
The U.S.- Republic of Korea alliance remains the linchpin of peace, security, and stability on the Korean Peninsula and in the Indo-Pacific region.
