TALLINN, Estonia — Joint Staff Spokesperson Col. Dave Butler provided the following readout:
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark A. Milley participated in the Chiefs of Defence Session at the NATO Military Committee Conference, hosted by Chief of the Estonian Defence Forces Lt. Gen. Martin Herem.
The NATO military leaders discussed military strategic developments within the Alliance, to include implementation measures for decisions agreed upon during the NATO Madrid Summit in June 2022. For the first time, the Chiefs of Defence of Finland and Sweden attended as invitees.
The United States and its NATO Allies remain united in their commitment to maintaining a credible deterrent capability and willingness to defend NATO territory.
