BRUSSELS, BELGIUM — Joint Staff Spokesperson Col. Dave Butler provided the following readout:
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark A. Milley met with the French Chief of the Defense Staff Gen. Thierry Burkhard today during the NATO Military Committee Conference in Brussels.
The military leaders discussed items of mutual interest and shared assessments regarding the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The long-standing alliance between the U.S. and French militaries plays a critical role in maintaining peace and stability in Europe and other regions around the world.
