Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark A. Milley spoke with Japan’s newly appointed Chief of Staff, Joint Staff Gen. Yoshihide Yoshida today by video call.
The military leaders discussed their respective national security strategies and national defense strategies confirming unprecedented alignment of their vision, priorities, and goals.
The U.S.-Japan Alliance remains the cornerstone of peace, security, and stability in the region, facilitating a free and open Indo-Pacific.
