PARIS - Joint Staff Spokesperson Col. Dave Butler provided the following readout:
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark A. Milley met with France’s Chief of Defense Gen. Thierry Burkhard today at École Militaire.
The military leaders discussed items of mutual interest, shared assessments regarding the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine, and discussed future strategic security cooperation.
The long-standing Alliance between the U.S. and French militaries plays a critical role in maintaining peace and stability in Europe and other regions around the world.
